About women in recruitment
Women in Recruitment was founded by Kathryn Edwards (Left) & Nivana Johnson (Right), two recruitment professionals passionate about building a stronger, more connected and more supportive industry for women.
After years within recruitment, both Kathryn & Nivana saw firsthand the opportunities the industry can create — but also the pressure, isolation and constant demands that can come with it. Through conversations with women across the sector, it became clear there was a need for something more than traditional networking.
Women in Recruitment was created to be a genuine community where women can connect, grow, support one another and have honest conversations about the realities of the industry.
Our goal is to empower, connect and inspire women across recruitment while helping create future leaders who will continue to shape the industry for the better.

Our focus is on creating meaningful opportunities for women to grow professionally, build genuine industry relationships and feel supported throughout their careers.
We believe recruitment is about more than just performance metrics and placements. It’s also about people, leadership, wellbeing and building an industry where women feel empowered to succeed without feeling like they have to navigate it alone.
